    Hi Rick

Just seeing if you were paying attention.

  4. Gene Muller:
    Feb 11, 2013 at 09:01 AM

It's on draft only and all kegs and tehy've all been sold, so you can try it at one of the places listed above.

Bummed when I didn't see any listings for Delaware.

Is this to be a limited edition? We have a home at the shore, affectionately known as our "Crabshack" that was destroyed and we were hoping to serve up some FU Sandy at our "The Shack is Back" party once the place is rebuilt (hoping to have the work done by summer).

  8. Gene Muller:
    Feb 11, 2013 at 02:15 PM

Right now the 86 kegs are all there is. We may bring it back come summer, but nothing's set yet.

Just a comment. I wish you were able to get a keg down here in VA at the bar I go to King Street Blues in Kingstowne, Alexandria,VA. They do microbrews and rotate the ones in bottles out every week. I need to make sure people down here understand where I am from and I would definitely drink it.

Hi Gene. Where can I get the glasses with the FU Sandy logo on! I will be out of town this weekend and will most likely miss out on the keg tapping. thanks for any info!

Where can I get a Tap handle for my bar in my basement. My folks lost their house in Sandy.

  12. Barbara Johnson:

Mount Holly = South Jersey and Beach Haven = Central Jersey???? Seriously, how much FU Sandy have you sampled? ;-). Can't wait to try it!

I have always loved Flying Fish but I feel like an orphan now that I live in Newark Delaware. Bring some liquid love this way once in a while... Please!

Too bad you couldn't get a "real" South Jersey spot (Salem Co. & Cumberland Co.) to carry it.

  15. Matt Adams:
    Feb 16, 2013 at 08:31 PM

Had it tonight at stuff yer face in New Brunswick ,thoroughly enjoyed it and when I asked for another they said it was 1 per person,my wife stepped right up and ordered hers for me

Best wishes with the new 'FU Sandy', Gene and Barbara Johnson is right about Beach Haven. It IS South Jersey. Maybe a new category is needed, 'DOWNTHESHORE'. Real South Jersey people and 'some' from North Jersey have always said, "we're goin' downtheshore".
I hope you consider a summer batch of FU Sandy for the millions of tourists who wouldn't feel right without a trip downtheshore and a nice, ice cold glass or bottle of Flying Fishes' fandamtastic brew - FU SANDY.
Best wishes, too, with the brand new FLYING FISH brewery.
    Continued success, Gene.
    "FU, Sandy"...

Went to the pour house in Haddon township yesterday to try the FU Sandy and they were already out of it. I was a little bummed out. Was really looking forward to trying it. I was offered the red fish and thought it was great.

  18. Janis:
    Feb 17, 2013 at 10:20 AM

What is price to be charged for pint of beer and pint glasses? The beer is great but I am already seeing what I think are abuses. In one place it is $6 for glass including beer. In another, $9 for glass, $9 for pint of beer without glass...

  19. Gene Muller:
    Feb 17, 2013 at 10:36 AM

    Hi Janis
By law we are not allowed to dictate the prices charged by retailers. Everyone who bought a keg got a case of glasses. We hoped they would give them out to the first couple dozen people who showed up. I had the beer at 3 places yesterday and the price was $5-6.

  20. Donald:
    Feb 17, 2013 at 10:44 AM

This FU Sandy would make a great Exit 7A for Shore Points in the exit series.

  21. Shawn:
    Feb 17, 2013 at 11:21 AM

I enjoyed an FU Sandy yesterday at the Pourhouse in Haddon Twp.
From what I can tell, a lot of people came out to support the cause.
As far as the beer is concerned, it was delicious!
It has a nice fruit note in the beginning with a slightly hoppy finish.
It would make for a great summer offering.
It was a great product for a great cause. Cheers!

    Feb 17, 2013 at 03:04 PM

If you re-release in the summer, are you considering expanding the area? I think you could really increase the amount of money if it was more accessible, obviously, but also there are a lot of people who originally in Sandys path that were spared who would like to help as well as promote a great beer like Flying Fish.

  23. Erik Molitor:
    Feb 17, 2013 at 08:53 PM

Love the beer I was shocked to pay $20 bucks for a pint at George street ale house
New Brunswick but I was happy to pay it given the cause. Now hearing that most
other establishments are charging less than 10$ a pint I am saddened to think the
owners here may be profiting off the misery of others say it ain't so! And pass any
    Additional proceeds on to victims!!!!!!

  24. Joann:
    Feb 18, 2013 at 06:09 AM

I cannot believe that there is 4 Applebee's on the list and the one in Manahawkin is not. The town had 5,000 homes damaged and destroyed in Beach Haven West and Long Beach Island is only minutes down 72 and had many, many homes destroyed and damaged. I hope for the summer you do decide to release it for everyone to enjoy once they get back into their homes.

  25. Gene Muller:
    Feb 18, 2013 at 09:41 AM

    Hi Joann
We didn't get to pick who carried FU Sandy, restaurants and bars made that choice. Cheers.

  26. Gene Muller:
    Feb 18, 2013 at 11:29 AM

    Hi Erik
By law we're not allowed to dictate price. Everyone paid the same for the keg. Most places I saw were charging $5-6.

  27. Rick Jensen:
    Feb 18, 2013 at 04:30 PM

Gene Muller! Any place in Delaware selling Sandy? How about a bottle and a Big Free Plug on Thirsty Thursday this Thursday at 3pm? Get on the phone with us & tell your story. You haven't been on the radio show for months and you're STILL one of our favorite brewers! Rick Jensen 1150 AM WDEL Wilmington, DE 302-478-2700 x170 Rick@WDEL.Com It's okay for the world to see this contact info.

  28. TC:
    Feb 18, 2013 at 06:50 PM

It is $20 a pint at the George Street Ale House in New Brunswick.

  29. Gene Muller:
    Feb 19, 2013 at 09:55 AM

    Hi TC
State law doesn't allow us to have any control over pricing. Places I've been were like $5-6 a pint. Did they give a reason why the price? If you haven't, maybe ask on their Facebook

  30. Amie:
    Feb 20, 2013 at 09:44 PM

Are "the proceeds" from the sale of each keg or the sale of each pint?

  31. Gene Muller:
    Feb 21, 2013 at 10:11 AM

100% of price of each keg is being donated by us. Some bars and restaurants are also donating a portion of each pint sold.

  32. Mike Phair:
    Feb 22, 2013 at 12:51 PM

Is there anyway to purchase the FU Sandy tap handle? Would love to help the cause.

  33. Gene Muller:
    Feb 22, 2013 at 02:08 PM

To get a Sandy tap handle just order a regular handle off our web site and specify that you want it with the Sandy stickers.
